Build your Kanto lineup in three steps

- Choose your starter. Begin with Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle and add Pokémon you want to train.
- Balance the six slots. Use the defensive tallies to find types that threaten more than one member.
- Save a version. Copy the generated team link before swapping members so you can compare alternatives.
What to check in a FireRed team
Kanto's gyms and Elite Four reward broad coverage. A balanced type chart is useful, but a complete plan also needs legal moves and sensible roles.
Keep coverage broad
Water, Electric, Ice, Psychic, and Ground coverage can answer many Kanto matchups, but the exact mix depends on your six Pokémon.
Check move availability
The type report uses a Pokémon's own types. It does not confirm TMs, HMs, abilities, or which coverage moves are available at your current point in the game.

- Can I use the planner for LeafGreen?
- Yes. FireRed and LeafGreen share one builder. Version filters inside the Pokédex help separate availability when needed.
- Does the builder account for abilities?
- No. Defensive analysis is based on types, so ability-based immunities or changes must be checked separately.
- Can I share a FireRed team?
- Yes. Click Copy Team Link after choosing your Pokémon; anyone opening the link will see the same lineup.
